Here are a few things that my 2022 clients did that I loved!
I SCREAM for a little dessert!
I SCREAM! You SCREAM! We all SCREAM for Chloe & Ben splitting a Leona’s ice cream sandwich instead of cutting a cake! Chloe and Ben ordered about 4 flavors of Leona’s ice cream and had it delivered to their wedding. When guests were ready for a little treat they could just grab a sandwich and enjoy.

A Table for Two!
Martina & Stephen’s venue, The Westin Downtown Pittsburgh recommended that they use their cocktail hour to sit, eat and have some alone time in the reception space before all their guests came in. I thought this was a really wonderful idea. Not only did they get to have a sneak peak of the space before all their guests did. They got to take it all in. Just the two of them.
*Please know this will not work for everyone but if you are able to make this work I highly recommend!

If You Like Piña Colada’s...
If you like piña colada’s as much as Anna & Mark do then you will love this as a speciality cocktail idea. To top it off they had matching ceramic pineapples that they sipped from as they welcomed their guests into their reception.

Cocktails Please!
Sophia & Jesse hosted their wedding ceremony and reception at MuseumLab on Pittsburgh’s north side, an old Carnegie library building turned museum that holds wedding and events in the evenings and weekends.
Fun fact about MuseumLab is that I used to run events there and love every chance I get to come back and celebrate in such a special place.
After Sophia and Jesse’s ceremony on the first level they invited their guests to join them for cocktails, heavy apps and dancing on the top two floors. I love this idea especially in a more non-traditional style wedding venue like MuseumLab.

A Vintage Favor!
Our client’s Jenna and Max wanted to share their love for vintage pieces with their wedding guests. Durning planning Jenna and Max thrifted vintage goblets that we placed at each guests place setting with a little thank you note.
Then the catering team poured a little shot of limoncello in each goblet for toasts.
Even though I am not pro favor I love this idea because it brings in something that the client’s love and they are thrifted so it is not a one use kind of item. Wildly Loved favor approved.

A Polka Band!
Larisa and Tommy had a polka band join them for dinner and the beginning of dancing.
Having the band play during dinner was such a fun experience. Guests would get up an do a little dancing durning dinner and the guests that have never experienced this even joined in. Such a fun unique way to bring something you love into your wedding and share it with your guests.
